Our school, established in 1985 as "Sri Venkateswara Kindergarten English School" in Sattur, began with 90 students and 3 teachers. It received Tamil Nadu government approval in 1992 and was renamed "Sri Venkateswara Nursery and Primary School" in 1998.
Due to increasing enrollment, the school moved to a larger building in Periyar Nagar in 2006. In 2014, we gained approval to offer classes VI-VIII, and in 2016, the school was renamed "Sri Venkateswara Matriculation School" with approval to add classes IX and X.

Admissions are given to the eligible candidates in classes LKG & I std on the basis of their, performance in the Admission test. Parents who require admissions to their wards in classes Pre KG to IX std may submit the filled in application form to the principal to register for admissions from the third week of March every year. All those who have registered are called to take the admissions test. The registration does not guarantee admission.
